I'll say it.

I love Pottery Barn.  It's my main source of inspiration.  I wish I had a personal PB designer who could fill my home with PB goodies and charge me a fraction of the retail cost - it's all I could afford!

Since my fantasy will never become a reality, I'll search high and low for pieces that will fit the my style.  Speaking of "my style," I'm not quite sure what it is.  I like to call it Comfortable Chic.  A home that you can walk in and say, "oooohh...that looks comfty."  Yet also say..."oooohh...how chic!"  Hahaha...did that make any sense?

I'm certain if a designer walked into my house, they would go, "what the heck is going on here?" ;P

And I'll say, "let me introduce my home to you."

I love finding home treasures yet living in the suburbs makes this quite difficult.
I'll go anywhere for pieces that speak to me - flea markets, ikea, estate sales, homegoods...to name a few.
I like being in my home.  I enjoy moving pieces around and thinking of what I can do next.
I have a very accommodating loving husband who will hang nails when I want him to (although it does take a couple reminders) and say, "that looks great!" even though he may not quite understand my enthusiasm when I find a new white pitcher.
I like the cottage feel yet my home is a traditional colonial so I'm creating my own style - remember comfortable chic.
I have no design background...I get my inspiration from researching and finding something that speaks to me.

So there you have it.  Nice to meet you!

Us in front of new home - for the first time!
